Search Zones

Search Zones

In this section we set your local catchment area so that when a user searches within this zone, they see your venue, though note this is for Table Service only.

This is important, if you do not do set this on your store, the store will not show in searches for sit down venues.

This section also allows you to set Minimum Order and Service Charges and allow for this to be changed. For example, if your venue is busy during a certain time of the week, you may want to have Search Zones that shows a smaller catchment area with a higher service charge, compared to a quiet period when you might want to have a larger catchment area with lower service charges to attract more customers.

When opening, choose a Zone Name - this will only be visible to you and your allocated users not customers. Add a Service Charge, as a percentage, and Minimum Order, as a value, and hit Add.

Please note service charge only applies to Table Service, it will not be applied to Pick Up orders.

You will then see a new page that should have your venues address already input.

Select either a Polygon or Circle and from the map create an area around your venue.

As you can see we have used a Polygon around the roads of Leicester Square, so if any user searches in this zone, they will find our venue.

Click Add to complete the Search Zone.

In regard to Pick Up orders, these orders work slightly differently. A user will see your venue if they select Pick Up and search a location that is within 10km of your city. You are though still able to input a minimum order value. Do this in the Extensions sections, which you can find by following the More tab that you can see on the right hand side of the Admin Area when looking at your stores. For the time being, we have decided not to add a Service Charge option to Pick Up orders, though will keep this under review and revisit if there is a specific need from venues to have this implemented.
